Food and Accommodation Cost

Food and Accommodation Costs can vary from lodge to lodge or depending on the type of package you choose for your trip. However, a person is bound to spend USD 30 to 40 per day on basic accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Food:

Breakfast: A day's breakfast typically costs $10 to $15. The cost can be cheaper if you order a set breakfast, but ordering different items in the set can be more expensive.

The daily lunch costs $15, including a tea break, typically between $10 and $15. However, if you're on a tight budget, there are ways to reduce your lunch expenses.

Dinner: Dinner can cost from $10 to $15 per day. Dal, bhat, and Tarkari (Nepali food) are readily available. The restaurant offers free refills, is very good for trekking, and serves healthy food. You may also have the option of Eastern and Western foods.

Sherpa stew, Tibetan bread, yak cheese, and Champa (Tsampa) Porridge are some must-have foods while you trek on this trek.

The take of footwear increases with an increase in altitude.

Accommodation Cost

Accommodation is cheaper than food. The cost ranges from $3 to $5 per day. Basic accommodations include a twin room and a shared bathroom or an attached bathroom in some places.

The quality of accommodation increases when you reach Ghorepani, Pokhara, and Kathmandu.

Packing Gear Cost for Annapurna Circuit

Trekking equipment needs to be carefully chosen. You cannot Go Trekking without proper planning and buying appropriate Gear. You need to list the necessary equipment and ensure it is appropriately packed.

I suggest hiring staff from Kathmandu rather than buying your own, which can save you significant money. If you already have a few gears, the cost of trekking equipment will decrease.

Season

Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are excellent seasons for this trek. If you trek in the Kapurna Circuit in the off-season, food and accommodation costs are relatively lower.

Annapurna Circuit Guide and Porter Cost

Guides for this Trek are readily available. Taking a licensed Guide will make it easier for you to find an appropriate place to stay. Guides know the safe route to the Circuit and can find cheap accommodations.

However, taking a local guide will make your trek safer and more comfortable, and you will learn much about the local culture. An experienced Guide can charge $30 per day, but to be honest, it all depends on how you deal with your guide. Check this for Guide Cost.

Similarly, a porter can charge about $15 to $20 daily, but you can also find porters for a lesser wage. Your Porter's cost depends on your packing. If you have a significantly lighter bag, you can bargain your payment.

Most people think solo trekking is impossible, but that is not true. You can go on a solo Trek without a Guide, but you must be extra prepared and cautious during your trip. If you don't take a Guide, you're saving some money.

However, the risk of not taking a guide is too high, and you can be at a significant disadvantage, so you might not want to go on a trek alone.

The rookie trekkers, especially, must take a guide with them.

The additional cost of Annapurna Circuit

Hot shower: A hot shower can cost $5 to $10.

Electricity to charge the phone: the price can vary from $1 to $2 per hour.

Other Miscellaneous Costs

If you increase the number of tips to guides and porters, your expenses can increase slightly. You might donate money while visiting temples, monasteries, and rural schools. The donation also makes slight changes in your Costs.
