Helambu Trek is a beautiful cultural Trek in Nepal. It takes about one week to travel from Kathmandu to Helambu. The trek is very close to Kathmandu, where you can see rural life. This area is part of the developing region and is even more comparable to Kathmandu. Helambu Trek is an easy trek in Nepal. It is quite a trek, so there will only be a few tourists.

The people from this Trekking Route are Chhetries, Newars, Tamangs, and Sherpas. The people mainly practice Hinduism and Buddhism in Helambu. Hyolmo Buddhist culture is in this area, so the name Helambu came from the word Hyolmo. People dress traditionally in the Helambu Area. Green Forests of rhododendrons and bamboo, waterfalls, the mountain range of Ganesh Himal and Langtang, farming terraces of rice, millet, corn, and many more…are the most popular attractions of the Helambu trek. Besides the things mentioned above, flora, fauna, and birds are friendly to see. Some Hindu temples, the stupa, prayer wheel, mani walls, prayer flags, and Monasteries make your Helambu Trekking more worthwhile.

Helambu Trekking starts in Sundarijal, about an hour from the central city. Sundarijal is one of the drinking water sources for the Kathmandu Valley and the hydropower station. After about 45 minutes of ascent, Mulkharka, the start of Shivapuri National Park, is reached. Crossing some local villages and the forest, you will reach Chisapani Hill. On the way to Chisapani, you will see a lovely view of Kathmandu Valley from some angle. The trek, which passes through Gulbhanjyang, Kutumsang, Thadepati, Tarkeghyang, Sermathang, and Helambu, ends at Melamchi Bazar. After spending a night in the teahouse at Melamchi, the next day, you drive back to Kathmandu by private or public transportation.

Frolic Adventure is one of Nepal's reliable and authentic Helambu Trekking Organizers. We commit to providing the best Trekking trip in the Helambu area with friendly, helpful guides and porters.

The Helambu trek itinerary is a seven-day trek from Kathmandu to see authentic rural Nepal and Nepal's natural sites. The Helambu trekking itinerary begins in Kathmandu and ends in Melamchi Bazaar. This off-the-beaten-path trek is less popular than other commercial trekking itineraries. We can also do a combined tour in Langtang and Helambu if we have longer holidays. We can also make a Gosainkunda Lake Helambu trekking itinerary if you are interested.
