Rafting in Nepal

Introduction

Nepal is not the only country where you can see mountains, wildlife, waterfalls, and heritage sites. You can enjoy water adventure activities like rafting and kayaking in many rivers. Nepal is one of the most famous countries for white water rafting. Adventure and non-adventure rafting depend on river flow and season. Rafting in spring on any river is non-adventure rafting, and rafting in summer is more challenging and adventurous. There are single-day and multi-day river rafting options in Nepal.

There are many popular rivers for river rafting, and some people also go for unusual ones. Trisuli River is one of the most famous and busiest rivers for rafting. This river is very close to Kathmandu, so people with limited time can do this rafting. This river rafting can be done in a one-day or two-day rafting program. The Bhote Koshi River is one of the most adventurous rivers for rafting in Nepal. Kali Gandaki and Seti River are also suitable for rafting.

Is it safe for rafting in Nepal?

It is pretty safe to raft in Nepal. Rafting during spring is safe for anybody and children, and the temperature is hot this time, so rafting can be more fun this season. During summer, the rivers are significant and rapid. Rafting this time can be a little bit dangerous for kids and people who don't know how to swim. However, there will be rafting in safer zones.
