Experiencing Typical Lifestyle and Culture of Gurung and Magar People
You will be walking through numerous typical Gurung and Magar Villages, which are the local inhabitants of this trekking region. Many men serve in British and Indian Gurkha regiments, and their families also do farming. Afterward, you can also see the towns' cultural events (Rodhi). Rodhi is the Gurung singing and dancing program, which used to be each evening after they came home after farming to forget all the hard work in the field. The traditional buildings with typical architecture also attract the visitor's attention while walking towards Mohare Danda.
Vegetation and Wildlife
You will be walking through the dense forests of rhododendron, pine, oak, and different trees while trekking to Mohare Hill. Various flowers are blooming in other seasons. The forest is colorful, with different colored rhododendrons in Spring and cherry blossoms in Autumn. So, blooming flowers are the embellishment of the forest of the Mohare and Poon Hill area. You may also see barking deer, yellow-throated martin, Himalayan Langur, and some other wild animals with beautiful birds on the Mohare Trekking route.
Is Mohare Danda the Right Trek for Me?
The short Mohare Trek is considered an easy walking trip; however, unusual hikers might find it moderate on ascending trails. It is a mountain excursion for anyone who thinks about easy and short trips.
Suppose you are taking kids whom you have never taken to high altitudes. In that case, we recommend the Mohare Hill Trek to explore the Nepalese Himalayas in a short visit. It is a perfect trekking destination in Nepal for everyone. Still, we suggest earlier practices, like running, cardio exercise, and a few hours hike in nature (up and downhill), before you go on this trip.
Best Time to Trek to Mohare Hill
You trek to Mohare Hill all year round, but of course! There are ideal seasons for this short mountain trip in the Annapurna Region. Choosing the right time is the best when you can enjoy a lot and see superb views. When is the best time to trek to Mohare Hill? Check it out below:
October, November, and December are the best months to trek to Mohare Danda. The air quality will be the most transparent, and the mountains will be the brightest in these times. There are few rain chances, so we recommend visiting Mohare Hill in Autumn if you have time. However, the temperatures will be cold compared to Spring and summer. You will also see blooming cherry blossoms along the way to Mohare Hill in Autumn. The forests look dark green, and the waterfalls are big in Autumn.
The second best season to trek to Mohare Hill is Spring. The air quality might be poor compared to Autumn and winter. However, the forests look better than in the other seasons, with blooming rhododendrons. If you love to walk to Mohare Danda in warm temperatures, the Spring from March to May is the perfect time for you.
The Mohare Trek is also doable in winter, but we suggest taking enough warm clothes. You can see magnificent mountain views with perfect visibility and air quality. But it will be less fun to travel to this place in summer. From June to mid-September, there will be lots of monsoon rain and leaches along the way to Mohare and its surroundings.
