About Indigenous Peoples Trail

Indigenous Peoples Trail Trek is a unique new trekking trail in Nepal that offers an opportunity to explore the multicultural, linguistic, and ethnic regions of Nepal's mid-region. The indigenous people's trail trek is easy and low in elevation. The magnificent panoramic view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himalayan ranges to the left, and the Jugal, Everest, and Kanchenjunga Himalayan ranges to the right, can be seen from this trekking trail. The Sunkoshi River encircles the trekking trail to the south and the Tamakoshi River to the east. The direct experience of this trek is the homestay with locals as family members, which gives you a traditional, authentic encounter with the multi-ethnic people of this region.

Indigenous People's Region Trek is the best mixture of cultural and ethnic diversity, stunning massifs, and more. After driving about five hours from Kathmandu to Mude, the trek starts by crossing through several beautiful villages of ethnic groups such as Tamang, Sherpa, Magar, Yolmo, Majhi, and Newar. The local people in this region practice Hinduism and Buddhism; you can see their deities, shrines, temples, monasteries, stupas, and other places of worship. The local people, with whom you stay on different nights, welcome you with excellent hospitality and treat you like family. It helps you learn about the culture and lifestyle by visiting local houses. You will have a great chance to enjoy the culture, traditional folk music, and dance, and to join them. This is one of the non-touristic trekking trails and is far different from other touristic trekking trails. If you trek to this region, it will significantly help locals improve their livelihoods and economic status.

The Indigenous People's Trail is a cheaper trekking destination than the usual regions. Thus, it is perfect for budget-conscious trekkers. However, it is not recommended for those seeking luxury lodges.

Frolic Adventure is the best trip organizer for indigenous people's trails. With an experienced guide and helpful helpers, we ensure the best cultural and traditional experience on this trek. Please get in touch with us for more information about the trip and other trekking tours in Nepal.
